Persuasions

uninspired
drip
drip
dripping
down into the heart of the morning until it passes you by with a cascading, constant rain.
new day
new year
makes no difference to you. dangling there.
waiting for the slightest wind
waiting for the slightest persuasion
to fall
but the fall, i can't believe, is the end.

am i not making any sense?
i apologize.
please make do regardless.

A little gray spy sits in the tree outside my kitchen window. guarding possessively. And I wonder, am I watching him or is he watching me? And either way, do either of us accomplish anything really going about this way?

accomplishment, sighed on a groan of distaste.
Accomplishment is not a word I find myself familiar with.
And there it is again.
the distaste.
Self!
I say!
Self...Self, you know those drips are dripping with or without you. With or without you.
Swollen trinkets dangling in a sullenly cheerful reminder to move on. When nature is pushing you on, move along.
new day
new year.
Doesn't change a thing.
You move on.

The Albino Peacock and the Shoe Shine Kit to Life

The colors of life blur sometimes into an unmistakable creature of beauty Like the peacock crossing the road just to see the field of flowers in an exquisite hue of rosy pink on the other side of the pavement. A creature of beauty takes pains to gaze at another. And it's just another mirror that gives a taste of the love inside my heart. Have a sample, we'll market it, and pass it out in super markets. Sell it as a deli side dish and fill the world up with it. There's plenty to go around! It comes to me in a smirk sometimes. I can't hide. A little twinkling smile that grows at the sides of my pink lips like a weed I can't put a stop to. Morning glory escape. all consuming thing of wonder. the flower that swallows you up. but, what a way to go. and truly, this morning glory boa is catch and release. Sucking you into its tight whirlwind of exotic, intoxicating emotions, experiences and then dropping you flat on your ass with a ridiculous smile on your face and laughter in your eyes. For months afterward you'll hear the whisper in your ear: 'Go fly now little birdy; and don't be scared.' Remember what you learned today all wrapped up tight in your creature of beauty. Remember the song you were taught. Your new ABC's. Love openly, give away the best of who you are and trust that it will be returned to you in better shape than when you gave it. Giving is your shoe shine kit to life, my friend.
Give and Love indiscriminately.
